no teaching is better than bad teaching
ON the basketball field in the afternoon, I saw a father teaching two kids (his sons) about the age of 12 to 16 playing basketball. Their father is roughly the same height as me. Just look at the way he played (shoot and dribble), and you'll know he was a terrible player(sorry to insult the word "player"). Yeah....he might be better than "木村拓...."(women-like shooting style, and look like he was diving with the ball when shooting. of course, a lot of women can do better and more graceful than he.) What makes me curious is that he was eagerly teaching his two kids, whose terrible shooting style was just like his father. At that time, there were too many people playing basketball in the field. All the people playing in the field are better than them. Had they never noticed if the players near by could be a great source to learn how to play. Hey, did they never watch any basketball programs. I keep wondering a question: if no one could teach them playing basketball, would the situation be better for them? When they want to play, they will automatically find someone to copy or learn someone who plays better than they do. The premise is if they can tell good from bad. We all know that, small kids are easily likely to admire their teachers and never doubt if the materials they teach might be wrong ,or may be another teacher somewhere would be better. Well, I just have pity for them!
