Great links

Gee...I've been working more than one hour on how to add "links" in my blog. Finally, my hard work pays off-got to take a quick rest after finishing this post.

Here is the trick:
Go click on the "Template" tab. Scroll down through the code until you see something like this in the sidebar section(got to be patient because it's almost at the bottom of the whole damned codes):
1. copy the link and paste its URL into the template.
2. Then change the "Edit-Me" text to say what you want to appear on your blog.
3. save your changes and republish your blog.
see the reference page: (How do I edit my link list?)

The biggest trading error in the stock market

Gee...just can't believe that one simple "key" can lose you a tremendous amount of money. A trader(dealer) placed a wrong order for a foreign customer simply because she was not quite familiar with the newly installed computer programs. But she is not the only one to blame. How come their internal control systems didn't give them any warnings or alerts.
8 billions are definitely not a small amount of money. As I see it, they (Fubon securities) deserved it!

San Antonio 81, Detroit 74(San Antonio wins NBA Finals 4-3)

"He (Duncan) put his team on his shoulders and carried them to a championship," Pistons center Ben Wallace said. "That's what the great players do."
Tim Duncan named 2005 Finals MVP

Yeah, you can call it "the dream come true". I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. "Long time" here means the date since they outplayed my favorite team "Phoenix Suns" to daminate the western conference.

It's all worthy and I was kinds of lucky today because I could leave eariler after my duty. When I was at home around 7 p.m., I was just in time to catch up with the decisive fourth quarter-it's a tied game. Manu's great dunk and "big shot" Bobby's (Rob)three-point shot, also Bruce's crucial block on Billups, and above all, Duncan's dominance down the stretch make Spurs take control the fourth quarter.

Admittedly, I'm so excited for the Spurs, but somehow I feel sympathy for the Pistons. They are truly a great team ever. And I like Larry Brown for his prudence and perseverance. Also, Chauncey Billups is one of the most admirable players for his cold-blooded and coolest heart and toughest strong will. Both teams did make a great champion game this year!

The Final War......

Tip off is coming up in a few minutes. The last decisive final game will be no doubt a fierce battle. The season will be over in the next three hours, and piggy will terminate the role of "NBA window" finally.

Who moved my cheese?

"Change" is the key issue in this well-written short story. But the most difficult part regarding change is how to defy and challenge our will when we have already taken everything for granted and are accustomed to the constant.

Francis Bacon once said something like that "People commonly think according to their inclinations, speak according to their learning and ingrained opinions, but generally act according to custom." That's why changing the way we usually do is not a simple thing- it's against our human nature- a complex human being often makes things complicated. So, "keep things simple and stupid" might sometimes be a good and quick way to rule out any unnecessary worries.

Unbelievable game-Five Star Finish

How can you expect a game like this? You sure doubt next one or two games could be more exciting than this one.
This is "Mr. Big Shot" Robert Horry's game-Number 5 represents its dominance over this Palace in the fifth pivotal game. He is a savior today and always a big time player.
There is an interesting quotation I saw from the NBA website:
"Mr 'Big Shot' Horry, 21 points. What else can I say? He's the most cold-blooded being I have seen ever."

"From the moment he hit a three to close the third quarter to the "Where-the-heck-did-that-come-from?" lefty slam in OT to the final three-pointer he hit in overtime, Horry was 7 for 8 from the field, including 5 for 6 from long range. Whenever he touched the ball late, the air left The Palace."

Oh Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!
That's the sound The Palace makes when Robert Horry has the ball behind the three-point line.

I'm glad that I make the right choice to leave the office earlier for watching the replay at home. It's worthy! By the way, I have take a day off for the Game sixth. Let's wait and see!

convertible bonds v.s. exotic dancers

Gee...this "bore-to-death" topic is definitely no fun at all. Convertible bonds are something that you are entitled to an option to exercise your right to convert the debt instruments to a number of common stocks, normally within a specific period, according to the conversion price stated in the indenture of the bonds. However, if you put it this way and just think the stuff like that as a ticket to a high-class strip bar offering you "a dance" with a selected girl, things will be more interesting. Of course, I can't say how a convertible bond can be much alike. But they absolutely have something in common. Before entering a strip bar, you pay a few bucks to buy a ticket in which a bottle of drink and a dance is included. "A dance" can be a "conversion price" because you don't have make a now-or-never choice right away. You can patiently wait until your favorite stripper being available, and then she can serve you a dance. This option also has a time frame, which you must exercise it before the closing hour, just like the maturity date of the convertible bond.
The biggest important difference is that you might get more pay when exercising the right of a convertible bond, but you sure will get more pleasure from a strip bar.

Alien abductee?

How can you tell dream from the reality? Most of the time, our dream could be so real that we will doubt whether it actually happens. However, for people with their right mind will know for sure that it is only just a "real" dream. But for those who convince themselves that the incident is so vivid that it can't possibly be a dream and it must truly happens to them.
Of course, no one could actually answer this question. But some psychologists believe the phenomenon of alien abduction to be all in mind, and not an actual physical experience. Besides, some experienced hypnotists can create such experience to hypnotized people through progressive induction.
There is one good example describing the danger of mind control. When you meticulously ultizer people's rare and fragile experience, they will accept you right away without second doubt. Just like when you do an experiment on a frog- if you put it in boiling water, it will jump right away out of the pot; conversely, if you put it in cool water, and slowly heating up the pot, it will eventually die in the hot water because it's too late until the frog finds out it is in deep trouble and has become too weak to struggle a bit. This can explain why the leader of HEAVEN'S GATE CULT can easily persuade his people to follow the "death path" with him.
(well....the funny thing is the "frog experiment" above i found out could be applicable to many cases in our live. And the idea is similar to the book I just finished - "who moved my cheese?".....i can talk about it later!)

unclear statement might occur misunderstanding-叫爸爸

Sometimes misunderstanding occurs between closed friends or lovers due to unclear statement. One assumes that the other will surely know what he/she is driving at even though he/she just points out short unfinished words....
There is a chinese joke which can be one example to describle the situation above:
(this situation is just like one time piggy was asking me to "關起來"....
gee...what the hell should I know which she was driving at....door or dehumidifier????)
Misunderstanding might not be a problem, but "quick response for impatient and furious attitude" can really put a damper on your whole day!

Generation gap

A good example to describe generation gap is the movie "austin powers-internation man of mystery", Dr evil and austin powers were both frozen for thirty years in the 60's. Things had changed quite a lot within those three decades, like apartheid, cold war, the fall of Berlin wall, and the dissolution of USSR.
Therefore, Austin and Vanessa as well as Dr. evil and his son "scott" need to have some heartfelt communication each other to reduce the generation gaps between them!
